Musings Of A Lover

What does LOVE mean to you? Yes, you! Have you e’er paused to ask yourself what those four letters mean to you or is it just what others say it is? A strong feeling of deep affection?

For me, love means a lot of things; it means TRUTH! It means no SECRETS! It means no GUESSING! It means taking your partner into CONFIDENCE! It means TRUST! It means accepting that your feelings will remain UNCHANGED no matter what happens! It means FORGIVENESS! Love means PAIN; how? You might wonder but if you’ve truly ever fallen in love, you’ll realize that it comes with heartaches, fears, uncertainty and dark moments.

Our fears that we might lose a loved one, that they may suddenly stop having that ‘Wow!’ feeling that the future is unknown and what it holds is either good or bad; all that rolled into oneand more, makes LOVE such a powerful force that the lily-livered ne’er dare venture.

If you loved her, if you loved him, you’d tell him/her everything! There’s no room for assumption in LOVE! It’s either black and white or nothing else! If you ever find yourself giving excuses for failing to tell it all as it is, then you should check yourself, check your relationship – ask yourself, do I’ve to hold back anything? Even the most tiniest detail? I’ve come to realize that nothing’s too little or too much to share with a loved one!

I say share it ALL or share it Not!

There’s no half measures in LOVE; there’s no room for had I known! And even though LOVE covereth a multitude of SINS, it’s not STUPID! Eventually, LOVE CONQUERETH only after the battle is won coz LOVE is a WARRIOR; it FIGHTS! It reminds you of the importance of avoiding WAR, of the things that lead to it!

LOVE is KIND, is PATIENT, is UNDERSTANDING, is ENCOMPASSING & above all, LOVE is GOD & GOD is LOVE but even at that, LOVE CHASTISES, it CORRECTS! It’s a double edged SWORD; don’t e’er fall on its WRONG SIDE!
